Jimi Mistry - DJ Dates Available

Jimi has been is gracing the small screen every Saturday night for the last six weeks with his smooth dance moves on BBC1's Strictly Come Dancing and everyone was shocked when he and Flavia went out of the show after performing their best dance to date.

From the small screen to theatre and into films, Jimi has carved a very successful career as an actor over the last 14 years and has starred in over 25 movies, from the critically acclaimed and award-winning "East is East" to the No.1 box office smash "The Guru" with Heather Graham, "Blood Diamond" alongside Leonardo Di Caprio and more recently Guy Ritchie's "RocknRolla" and "Partition" alongside Neve Campbell. Jimi can be seen in the recently released Warner Bros blockbuster "2012" from director Roland Emmerich as well as the BAFTA nominated movie "Exam"  and "It's a Wonderful Afterlife" plus "Basement" a horror movie with Danny Dyer and the sequel to the award winning film "East is East" called "West is West".

As well as a career in the movies Jimi manages to indulge his other passion which is music, hosting his own exclusive events and DJing as well as heading his own record label "tabula rasa music" alongside good friend and DJ partner Tony S. Jimi is also producing and MCing under the name Lord Gravel alongside Nikey & Ward Clerk with their first track "Sittin' in Da Back" soon to released. Jimi also produces under the names mrmist, Jimi Mistry & Tony S and alongside Tom P (Nikey) as CuZ.

Recent DJ gigs include The Big Chill , tabula rasa, Nikki Beach at the film festival in Cannes, Stealth Vs Rescued in Notts, The Egg in London, Cosmic @ Sosho (Shoreditch), MUAK, The Kingly Club, Proud Galleries, The Drunken Monkey, The Brickhouse, Bar Vinyl, Heaven, "Iam Rockstar" @ Boujis & Maya London.

Last summer in Ibiza was also a busy time for Jimi with gigs @ Café Mambo, Earthdance Ibiza @ Privilege, F*** me I'm Famous with David Guetta @ Pacha and Pete Tong's Wonderland @ Eden, Ibiza Sonica Radio amongst others.

Jimi's DJ style ranges from an eclectic mix of old school disco/funk/hip hop classics through to the 80's and on to his long standing passion for all styles of quality house music.
